Budget Yamaha Cafe build pics from Brazil! You build what you can with what you have!

Thanks Rossi! Cool build! Further proof that you do NOT need big money to build a cool ride.

Hi,
In Brazil we have a Yamaha RX 180 custom 2 stroke modified to café racer. I access your blog every day. Very good, congratulations.
Thanks,

Rossi Fernando

An “Ugly Motorbikes” Free Plug.

A decent take on an XS750..

To whom it may concern,

This 77′ Yamaha XS750 has received a full treatment makeover into UGLY Motor Bikes view of a cafe racer. The kick/electric start motor has had the top end rebuilt with custom engraved handcrafted velocity stacks and a custom 3-3 baffled exhaust. With these modification, the bike has an aggressive tuned exhaust note. The custom metal tail features a single offset tail/brake light, and a frenched start button. The seat, grips, and pegs are wrapped in Nigerian calf leather with a slightly aged look applied. To achieve the desired stance the front forks have been internally lowered 1 ½” and 1” in the triples. With this being the first Yamaha triple having built/worked on, they hold true to their rep of being a stubborn bike, but once they are tuned and massaged they are outstanding bikes. This XS750 has great smooth power and the riders smiles grows with every twist of the throttle. Continuing in UGLY’s style of minimalism and focus on design, this XS750 pulls it’s weight, and is a welcomed addition the UGLY Motor Bikes family.

The bike is currently on sale for a steal at http://www.seaweedandgravel.com

We hope you enjoy as much as did building this on of a kind Yamaha XS750.

XS750

Wow! I think I need another air cooled 2 stroke Yamaha.

Except for the handlebars (it’s an age thing) this is about as “realistically” tempting as it gets for me!

The latest from Kaffeemaschine, Guzzi Cafe Racer No. 7

Sweet Mother of God that is nice…

Kaffeemaschine, Guzzi Cafe Racer No. 7

Axel Budde

Finally the “Caffettiera d´oro” (“golden coffee machine”, but caffettiera can be a nickname for an old/wasted vehicle, too- I liked the double sense) is finished- or let´s say photographed, as she was done actually some time ago.

The donor bike was a Le Mans 3, which already had Le Mans 4 heads and bigger carbs, so it was a good basis to give it the full show with 1040ccm cylinders and powerful HTMoto tuning with dynamically balanced crank drive, special cam, twin spark heads, electronic ignition and bespoke exhaust system. The rest of the technique was overhauled and I gave it my minimal wire loom. The brakes were revised and modified with modern brake pumps and stainless steel hoses. The fork got progressive springs, modern dampers and new bleeders. Rear shocks are special Ikons, built for Kaffeemaschine. Instrument is Motogadget, wheels are Morad.
All alloy parts were handmade, as usual.
A lot of work got into the tank, showing my new design, as I wanted to design a classic, elegant tank, putting emphasis on the Guzzi´s unique geometry and shape. Tank and seat are available upon request.

Please label the article “Kaffeemaschine, Guzzi Cafe Racer No. 7” (or something like that…).
If you want to post it on Facebook- I joined the intimate circle as well with “Kaffeemaschine”- maybe you can link that.
I´ll be joining the “Custombike 2012” here in Germany this weekend. Maschine 7 will be displayed, as well as my race bike at the booth of the “Ace Cafe”, I´ll be guest at their stage show.
If anybody is interested, I´ll be around for a coffee…

Thanks again and best regards from Hamburg,

Axel

A beautiful classic Ducati build!

Mark Turner sends in this beauty!

Hello, I have been enjoying your site for a while and wanted to contribute.
This is my bike and I took the picture also. You have my permission to post it on the site.
This bike was assembled bit by bit, starting with the engine only. All the rest was either scrounged, fabricated, or purchased from various sources around the world. My goal was to stay fairly true to the original look with some upgrades, keep it as light and clean looking as possible. The bike weighs under 350 pounds ready to ride. The sound is incredible.
