A unique Honda Shaft Drive CB900F Custom.
There’s quite a few overlapping influences in this build and I applaud the “outside the bix” thinking. Fro a reader..
Last year I was looking for a CB900F and found nothing, but got this CB900c for $450 and the guy threw in enough parts to almost build a second bike… by no means pretty to start with but someone challenged me to make my first two-seater. Now that it’s done, I managed to pick up a CB900F and a VF700F for my winter projects.
I call it the Stranger. My son and I were debating what to name the bike and Billy Joel’s song was playing. Just fit.
If you like, you can re-post these photos, thanks
Thank you Barry! And PLEASE keep up posed on you other builds.
Maybe the coolest Suzuki GN400 on the planet!
Again I’m kicking myself for having taken so much time away and missing so many of these e-mails especially since I have such a thing for out-of-the-norm non-cookie cutter starting points.
This trick little scoot was sent in by Tracy Flanders on Valentines day 2016.
Hello, my name is Tracy Flanders. I came across your site of great looking motorbikes. I thought I would send you a couple of pictures of one of mine. It started out as a Gn400 with 1930 orig. miles. It sat in a garage for 33 years in Connecticut. I sold off the orig. parts I did not need and spent the winter sittin on a milk crate putting this bike together. The motor only puts out around 27 HP. But I was able to get the weight down to about 275lbs so its peppy. Its starting to show age and damage related patina. It always makes me smile when the Harley guys ask “What Year Flanders” it is ? I hope you enjoy my Photos.
Ride safe and Thank you.Tracy
Thank YOU Tracy for the bike and your patience!
Since I’m easing back in, I though I’d update a few “greatest hits”!
Scrolling though the media library these just caught my eye for no reason in no particular order! This isn’t based on any site stats or even any strong preferences on my part although I admit that there probably IS a disproportionate leaning towards two strokes (and probably Moto Guzzi but I guess it’s like a blogging Rorschach test so I’m not really surprised). Everything I post is on here because it interested me in one way or another and especially after scrolling through the galleries I realize now more than ever that I really do like them all!
1969 Honda MiniTrail Z50 with a 1967 T120TT engine..
Digging through old emails and realized I missed this eye-popper! That title is not a typo! If you have to ask why… well… You’re not “wrong” but you either get it or you don’t! LOL.
