Outstanding BMW R71 “Replica”…

I didn’t get a lot of info on this.  Can someone enlighten me?  I suspect it’s a “knock off” kitted out to look like an early BMW?  Or am I way off here.  Not my area of expertise… obviously.  This was sent to me as a for sale post way back in November so I would think it’s sold by now.  But all the same… Great looking scoot though!

A Virago 1100 Street Tracker!

From the “you don’t see that every day” department! Very well executed!  Tanks Russ!

Hi there I came across your site whilst browsing for bike build ideas. I thought you might like to see a couple of pics of my 1996 yamaha Virago 1100 street tracker which I’ve just finished. It has a custom built rear subframe to supper a hand made seat on a fibreglass seat base, Benelli Mojave tank, flat tracker bars, custom grips, led rear light, custom indicators, metalflake paint, lots of chrome, custom built air filter, fabricated rear number plate and light mount, harley headlamp cowl, reshaped mirrors.

I hope you like it, I have subscribed to your blog, keep up,the good work.

Best regards,

Russ

A Kickass Frist Genertion SV650 Cafe

I love the direction he took with this. Must be a stone blast to ride!

Hi Steve !

Thank you for your great blog.
Here some pics(feel free to use them) of my home made racer, based on a 2002 Suzuki SV650.
Stock engine with KN filter and fine carb’ tune, modified titanium Akrapovic exhaust line with Shark silencer (titanium wrap) Norton racer seat, great paintjob, all mixed with ideas, friends and fun.
It’s a “budget build” … and also a “pleasure machine” built to ride the Région Rhône-Alpes, near Lyon, France.
More pics and infos (in french) on my blog :

1968 Aermacchi M68. Another Outstanding bike from Ted Guthrie!

Nice to see long time contributor Ted Guthrie still at it!   I checked and sure enough, he’s sent in so much stuff over the years that he has his own tag,   Thanks Again Ted!  Beautiful!

Just finishing up this 1968 Aermacchi M68.  All original except for recovered seat and aftermarket grips (which don’t fit right).  Even wearing the original tires.  Those with sharp eyes however will note the intermediate chain guard (between main guard and engine case) is missing.  Original lost.  eBay replacement on the way.Aermacchi 4 M65 1 M65 2 Aermacchi 1 Aermacchi 2 Aermacchi 3

THE Gary Nixon Special from Donzilla at Metro Racing.

I saw Gary Nixon towards the end of his racing days, at Daytona going against a field that included Jay Springsteen.  It was one of the Triumph Bonneville Cup Challenge races and I cursed a little when Gary had to withdraw with ignition troubles.  Even at that stage in his semi-retired racing career lord was he fast.

From Don:

I know it’s been a while since I sent something in, so here’s my Nixon Tribute Street Tracker. NIxon was a personal friend that I miss dearly. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor him as to have something like this to ride around….Enjoy!!
