Some really fun 2 stroke “street” bikes!

Mike sent me a link to his Flickr site and I grabbed these two! Nice Stuff!

His original E-mail about the CR500

This is my CR500 AFC Supermoto 79RWHP. I mostly run it on the street but for fun I took it to the drag strip and ran a 12.4 @ 101.4mph 1/4mile. It didn’t have a soft enough tire to launch hard but still fun beating Vrods and cbr600s!
It’s a crazy fun bike. Street titled and all led lights.
This will be up for sale soon to fund a Kawasaki H1 drag bike 🙂 the wheelie bar on it is from the H1 project haha
Thanks

A pair of sweet 2 stroke Suzukis!

Just gorgeous!  Thanks to Trevor Denning.

Here is two of what I consider the best two strokes ever made.  The GT I have owned for 26 yrs the RG for 18 yrs.  Neither are standard.

Thanks TREVOR

A seriously trick little Suzuki 2 stroke racer restoration from South Africa!

Deon Coetzee sends in this beauty.

“Rain Delay” Ughh…

It was nice riding in this morning but this is North Florida and that’s never a lasting promise. This was my view at 5 O’clock today for the ride home. Needless to say I was late.

I know I don’t post many Street Fighters but I’m posting this one. Bandit 1200.

There is such a huge universe of streetfighters out there that it’s hard to stay on top of it all and there are blogs that do a much better job of it than I can. But every once in a while someone sends me one that is built just really “correct”. To my eye this is one of those. It’s nicely updated with modernized suspension and exhaust and with those handlebars it’s actually rideable.  The overall look is nice an clean too. This one comes from Shane Morrisby (a different Shane than the last post) from down under.

A Nice Fathers Day ride on the Trusted DR Motard.

A Spectacular day n my old and faithful DR65 motard.  Even though Northeast Florida is no twisty  mecca with elevation changes we still have a few nice scenic loops here and there.  For my Fathers day getaway I took the river road (SR13) south from Jacksonville and cut over some wide open farmland through St Augustine and back up the coast road (A1a).  It’s actually a really nice 100 mile loop with plenty of places to stretch your legs along with some excellent eateries and watering holes along the way.  I really need to get out there more often.  It’s a LOT nicer than I generally give it credit for.  Anyway these were spur of the moment with an old camera phone.  Sorry about that.  Next time I’ll “show it off” a little better than this.  If you’re ever around Northeast Florida and want to go for a nice loop drop me a line and I’ll get you the routes.

And Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there.  I hope you got out for a ride!

Oooh Baby! The latest “kit bike” from RYCA motors.

Another Suzuki Savage based kit (this time a street tracker) from the folks over at RYCA.  I’m already a big fan of their cafe bike and a big fan of 650 thumpers.  I may just have to save up a little coin towards one of these.  Really freaking cool.

A really nice TU250 from NY NY.

Thanks to Anthony Jaswinski for the cool scoot. If they build one of these as a 650 I’d be all over it.
