What makes this a resto-mod? Other than the exhaust and the frame sliders, it looks pretty stock to me. P.S. Does anybody know what the black disc mounted to the muffler bracket is?

I’m assuming it’s registration info. Used to be required in the UK and other places – may still be.

Wow! Beautiful job Deon. I have always regretted turning down the chance to buy a Katana in the early ’90s. Love that fairing!
I agree – that’s one of the few regrets I have in the motorcycle world. That and a 1974 John Player Special Norton. 🙂

I’ll admit I detested these when they came out, but compared to the cookie cutter motorcycle “designs” we see nowadays, it’s an original, with character.
