By the way… Send me your bike week pics!! lol..

I’m likely going to completely miss the goings-on in Daytona this year. I’ll likely make the October meet (since there will be vintage racing) but the modern only stuff just doesn’t grab me anymore. I really wanted to sneak out for at least a day the flat track racing (and to meet some friends I’ve made here on the blog). It’s starting to really interest me. But family obligations made it impossible. 😦

Brian Cook was nice enough to contribute this on our facebook page. It’s a sweet 1979 Suzuki GS550, done up as a Street Tracker! I really like it. You could put something like this together without breaking any banks. Ride the heck out of it as you continue to mod and still be the talk of the local bike night.

Description 1972 Kenny Roberts World Champion Yamaha motorcycle helmet. A very well used and battle-scarred piece of motorcycle history! Roberts won two AMA Grand National Championships in 1973 & 1974, three consecutive 500 cc World Championships in 1978, 1979 & 1980 along with 3 victories at the Daytona 200. He is the father of the 2000 500cc World Champion, Kenny Roberts, Jr., the only father and son duo to have won the title.

Tripped accross Andrews bike over on ADV rider and he was kind enough to hook me up with his build blog. Really really nice stuff. . He’s also the builder of another well documented NX650 Dominator Special!

The KTM Super Enduro 950. I’m really starting to want one of these.

I do love the DR650 and this just seems like twice as much of everything I like about it.

Does anyone have any objections if I close down the old blogger blog?

I know some of you like to go over there for the links and to my utter amazement it’s still getting 800 to 900 site visits a day.  It’s mostly on content search I imagine but it it’s still surprising.   There’s a big honking message alone on the landing page directing people here but it keeps on rolling at a slow but decent clip.  Heck it does better than my s-2troke page and I post to that at least 5 time a week lol…

 

Anyway I’m in no hurry I just thought I’d put it out there and see if you guys still check on it for content or whatever.  I wouldn’t delete the pics.  If anything I’d make the libraries available on here for scrolling.  No rush.   Just looking for some feedback.
