From my “Riding Into History” archives. If I could drop 40 pounds something like this would probably be my daily rider. Love the radial heads.

mini rant and a test of some new linkages (with some old BSA power).
Mini RANT! From a former “fanboy” now just pissed off at Google.
They just can’t resist a chance to reach out and mess with me. Now they mutilate my perfectly content and situated data with delusions of google Plus imperialism
I had to move massive amounts of old images recently from google Picassa to Flickr because google absolutely trashed all the old linkages when they forced them under the god awful abomination known as Google Plus and the “umbrella” of that social network.
It’s a lonely hollow universe there but they seem to think that it’s 1988 and they are AOL with nowhere else for people to go. I dumped blogger years ago after Google bought them and pulled some shenanigans on my earlier blog. I also noticed that for a time you could not post comments on Youtube without a gmail address/google Plus account… seriously… I still reluctantly have my Gmail address to this site but I’m otherwise switching my online universe as far away from google as is practical/possible. Mostly (belive it or not) back to Yahoo. A big reversal for this one time google fan. so it goes.
Russian Intersection Idiocy.
What’s the old saying? God smiles on little children, drunks and fools?
Reader Project.
What a nice backroad barnstormer! I like that the suspension is original(ish). A lot of these builds tend to a bit too many modern with forks and swingarm upgrades that are overkill IMO. This looks to be be a great ride! Bravo!

Hi, normaly I am doing only Motorcycle restoration for myself. That’s the first bike what I made for a customer. It was a R100 RT , 80 model.

Latest Bonneville Build from macco Motors
Yes this is a bit of advertisement/product announcment but long time readers know that when I get high quality pics of a custom bike I’m happy to be “persuaded” into an announcment for some shots. On this one I’d do a few things differently based entirely on my personal tastes but it’s an sweet build. Oh and as an enthusiastic amateur photographer my compliments on the images. Very well lit. Thank you Jose and Tito for the shots!
Here we go again!!
here you have the brief and specs of our Triumph Bonneville T100, named “The Lizard King”. I send you a wetransfer with pics.Photos by Sergio Ibarra from Semimate (www.semimate.com) Please, mention him. Thanks for sharing. Appreciate your work.Because of the succes of our first Triumph Bonneville build, Dusty Pearl, most customers contacted us to build a Dusty Pearl for them. But as bikes builders, we believe that every bike must be unique and exclusive. So, we´re commisioned by Christian from London to build him a Dusty, but we made an agreement to make “The Lizard King”. And this is why we call these Bonnies, the “Dusty Serie´s” Bonnies. We started to work in the previous photoshop design. The idea was to create a comfortable, stylish Triumph, but rude at the same time. We try to mix performance and style in our work, focusing in harmony of shapes and respect teh essence of the bike.
We got a new paint fuel tank scheme, alloy and black matt, enhancing the muscle shape of the fuel tank.
We mounted 1″ Biltwell tracker handlebars, wider and lower than standard, Thruster Biltwell grips, single centered speedo and short polished racing style clutch and brake levers, plus a Bates headlight with grille accommodated from a Triumph TR6 car, in the front of the bike.
In order to improve the performance of the suspension, we replace the rear forks with a Hagon Nitro pair and put progressive Hagon new springs front.Chopped subframe and new Maccomotors seat for two, just as Christian wanted.
New K&N air filter and Metzeler Tourance 110 front and 140 rear, plus BC Predators exhausts painted black, and these others improvements complete the custom list:– New front fiber mudguard
– Rear chopped Thruxton mudguard– New turn signals and rear light– Custom side panels– New paint– Alloy footrests– Anticaloric wrap– Predators BC exhausts
All pics and updates of our work in www.maccomotors.com and in our FB fan page.Regards
Jose & Tito
Sex on wheels… 300cc custom six cylinder by Guy Coulon
Saw this again over on Superbike planet the other day. Older vid but I still go back to listen once in a while.. They fire it up at 1:12…. God that sound… It’s just primal.
Think I’ll be popping back up a bit.
Not one word before I give a long overdue and huge THANK YOU for all the outside help I received and ESPECIALLY to Sean for giving up his time and energy to keep things alive and thriving on here in my prolonged absence. Considering how little actual support I’ve given him during my hiatus I can’t express enough how massively grateful and appreciative I truly am. Sean is now part of the DNA and his welcome mat is welded to the floor. As they say, mi casa su casa.
Now I won’t rehash all the reasons personal and financial for my absence suffice it to say they those distractions are still somewhat of a daily reality. I’m just getting a lot better at ignoring/managing (but mostly ignoring) them. The seat of the DR650 and the RD350 are familiar to me again and I think motorcycles are solidly back on my list of daily philosophical considerations.
All of which brings me to the bike that sort of snapped me out of my slumber… as they say… stay tuned.. 😛
UPDATE: A life well lived… now on Craigslist.
UPDATE: Thanks to Jeff Kunz in the comments for tracking down the story on this.
I grabbed every shot I could from ORIGINAL LINK UPDATED before it was gone. Anyone have background on this? would love to know the story.
I’m just blown away by it. I’m sure many wives would disagree bt this is a life well collected. Here are the photographs I clipped. Yes I’m on the edge of copyright infringement here and will gladly remove them if asked but since I’m ALSO promoting his sale I’ll risk it.

Isle of Man onboard insanity.
Hi all, Steve just popping back in for a visit. I’ve seen quite a few of the onboard IOM TT vids but this one really stands out. Just hellishly fast!
Carry on!
Wow! Jeremy Mcwilliams “schooling” the Journo’s on th new KTM.
Just thought I’d pop this in afer tripping across it today and staring at it slack jawed as it played.
