Stunner of a Kawasaki KZ900 For Sale…
A good friend of mine is selling his fantastic Kawasaki KZ900. It’s located in Jacksonville, Florida. I’ve ridden it and it’s ridiculously fun and fast. Recently rebuilt engine and a serious looker. Bike just never gets ridden so he’s selling. I would definitely buy it myself but I can’t offer him nearly what it’s worth. If you’re interested let me know and I’ll put you in touch.
And for the record, No I’ve never done this before and I only do it for people that I’ve known for 30 years or longer so please don’t get after me to list your bike unless you’re one of those dozen or so people.. Peace.

Riding into History Show and I had the wrong Camera… Brough Superior. Arial Square Four. Vincent. Triumph
Next few days will be some of the better posts from the local Riding Into History Motorcycle Concourse in St Augustine Florida. Sadly, I packed the wrong lower resolution camera so my pics are not as sharp as I’d usually hope for. A little post processing seems to have given them some usefulness though. Here’s some of the first pics I snapped. I was an perfect day and an outstanding event.
FYI: If you want to see the whole album go to the “Links to full albums” page at the top of this blog and there are links to this album as well as most of the rest of my pics. Enjoy!
Reader Ride. SR500 Fighter.
Zaine Engelbrecht sends in this nearly complete SR500 fighter.
He Writes:
I am not finished yet battling my ass of with the back brakes.( modification without ruining the original)
The swingarm pivot i cut just before the bearings each side so its 80mm, The nice thing is all the SR parts just bolt back on, no mods to my original frame.
The triple clamps just need different bearings and it bolts right on. The handles is of an Chinese import Hunter as its the only 41mm raised ones i could find.
I cut the brake disk spacer at the back by 4.5mm to line up the chain, will show you on photos how close the 180 back wheel is to the right side swingarm, the wheel is now only 4.5mm off centre.
Front discs is standard R6 and brakes like an accident!!!!!
Rear sprocket is machined alloy!!!!!! R 700 later! (40 teeth)
I will start the monoshock conversion tonight, and will send as many photos as possible,
7 weeks and not finished yet!!!
BIKE IS FOR SALE AFTER THE MONOSHOCK CONVERSION 😦
Best regards
Zaine Engelbrecht
Reader Ride. Stunner of a Custom Buell
Paul Shore send in this sweet Buell.
He Writes:
Here are some pictures of a buell that i built for my wife Ann. a bit of Ducati but more Buell = Bucati????
At break in, we had 100 bhp + 100 ftlb torque with another 1000 rpm to go and power / torque still climbing.
That was with the PSI series III 48 ( which actually measures 57mm across the throat ) lectron style carb. having some trouble with
the adjustment we opted to go to a mikuni HSR 48 flat slide which actually dropped power by 3% but adjustability seems much
easier / user friendly than the PSI.
Enjoy!
