Reader Ride. A Blue Jewel of a Ducati GTS900

Edward Hessel of Louisville, KY sends in this beautiful (and beautifully photographed) bike.

He Writes:
I am really enjoying the diversity of moto’s on your site.
Please find attached a couple of my 78′ 900GTS Ducati, thanks and keep up the non- conformity.

A non-conformist huh?  Thanks.  I like that.

Ducati Monster Sprot bike ; )

Yes. There’s and SR4 under there.

DEVIANTE! An S4RS built into a dirt bike by Terra Mostro

Terra Mostro builds bikes like these with 695 Monsters. this guy wanted a bit more power so he had them build this thing. I imagine he succeeded!

Stock specs on and SR4S:
Horsepower: 117.0 @ 9750 rpm
Torque: 68.2 lb.-ft. @ 7500 rpm
Corrected 1/4-mile: 10.71 sec. @ 126.57 mph 0-60 mph 3.12 sec.
Top-gear roll-on: 3.32 sec.

Only one in existence and it’s for sale over on Adventure Rider for just shy of $20K. And probably worth it!

Long Lean and Lonely Italian Girl Looking for a Soulmate.

I love this bike and I might include it on my “midlife crisis – must own” list except that when I sat on it the handlebars were so far away that I could barely see them. This bike is a serious reach. Probably worth the pain though just for the pleasure of looking at it.

Macaroni lust… A Much More Modern Ducati

I haven’t done a lot of modern stuff lately. Not sure why. Reading these pages you might get the idea that I’m a bit of a vintage snob which is not true at all. Exhibit “A” below.

Some World Ducati Weekend shots…
