Ural reliability(as with Royal Enfield) certainly has improved in recent years. Contrary to what some prefer to believe,many early Urals were also mechanically reliable,however, problems then were the norm,not the exception as nowadays. The other factor often overlooked is owner operation, in regards to the machines capability (and intended purpose). These machines have survived very well in their original environment, where there are few paved roads and infrequent maintenance; when ridden within their envelope of performance.

Newer ones have good electrics and old styling. They don’t have much power though.
