Back to basics. Flawless Triumph T-120.

Much as I love all the customs and modifieds, sometimes it’s nice to just get back to the basics. The simple pleasures. For me, this would be hard to top…

Stellar Ducati 851 Superbike!

And it’s For Sale! No it’s not mine and I do NOT know the seller.

The Norton Interstare "daily ride" of the legendary Stan Keyes..

Stopped by Cyco Cycle, my favorite local shop and salvage yard the other day. It’s owned by Vintage Daytona winning racer and Bonneville world record holder Stan Keyes. His daily rider was parked out front so I grabbed a quick camera phone shot of his Beautiful Norton Interstate. For a little more on his exploits at Bonneville see our local story HERE.

Just a cool old pic from "back in the day"… Thanks again to Mr David Martin

You can stare at this fo a while and keep finding cool details. Reall great photograph. thanks again Mr Martin!

One Clean Honda Hawk GT. Oh what might have been….

It’s always been strange to me that a few years after Honda completly gave up on this excellent motorcycle that Suzuki introduced the wildly successful SV650 (in 3 different formats: naked, sport-faired and Adventure DL model) which was answered years later by Kawasaki with the Ninja 650 lineup…. including the “Bike of the year” Versys varient. Obviously Honda pulled the plug way too quickly and with much to little support leaving the field wide open to he rest of the players (although yamaha is trying with the 4 cylinder FZ6 but they’re not there yet). Shrewd move there Honda…. What’s sad is that a mildly updated version of this exact bike would STILL be competitive in the marketplace. Whatever… shrug..

Triumph Trophy Trail… An "old school" scrambler.

Since I’m on a scrambler kick I figured I’d go a little old school on this one. Beauty of a ride. What a shame that the polished tanks have disappeared.
