I had a 1989 GB500. Classic cafe look with a great-sounding thumper engine. It was a blast in the twisties. I remember the seat being super comfortable too. If only it had a bit more power I might have kept it.
I considered buying one of these back when they were introduced. I had always liked the big British singles, and the GB500 seemed as if it would offer the best features of a British single combined with Japanese reliability. Unfortunately, the bike only offered an anemic 33HP pushing around close to 400 pounds (wet). That was really disappointing compared to other motorcycles available at the time, some of which cost much less.

I had an XBR 500 but with spoked wheels, I wish I still had mine. I passed my advanced motorcycle test in the UK on it.
