Reaader Ride with "Bonus Triumph Pics.

Aaron sent me a nice silhouette shot of his stable the other day along with a link to his flickr stream.  While perusing his photos I stumbled across this stunner of a custom Triumph Scrambler.  WOW!  Aaron I hope you don’t mind (and if you do I’ll pull them immediately) but I’m a huge Triumph fan and couldn’t pass these up.

By the way your original submital is excellent and included below. I’d love to see more angles of the Duck and especially Beemer.

Thanks Very Much

Aarons original note:
Hey!
I got a bit inspired on Sunday and had some fun with my DSLR and Photoshop; I ended up with what I think is a very good photo of my two bikes (’75 BMW R75/6 and ’06 Ducati Multistrada 1000s) that you and your readers might like. The original is attached, and other sizes are at my flicker acct (under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to use what you like), here:
Cheers!

Here’s the shanghaied Triumph…

And the original submittable.  Excellent Shot!

Reader Ride. Beautifully Photographed R1.

As modern sprotbikes 😉 go the Yamaha’s have always “done it” for me just a little more than the other big 3 (or is it 4 now with BMW?)  and this is a very nicely shot example.

The owner writes in:

I am afraid that my bike is quite conventional compared to the customs pictured on your deeply awesome blog. But I think these pictures are themselves pretty cool.
Here’s a description:
Pictured here is my bike, an R1 i have named the Pharmacon Atlas. “Pharmacon” is an ancient Greek word meaning both “cure” and “poison.” Naturally, it should be the name for a motorcycle. “Atlas” has many meanings. It is a collection of maps. It is also the ancient greek god that holds heaven and earth on his shoulders. It is also the topmost bone of the vertebrae. Through these three meanings I deduct three vital maxims: Know where you’re going, hold it down and protect your neck.

Chioke

Just a thought here but there’s is no bike that is to “conventional” for the blog.  To be clear…. ANY creative,  interesting and well photographed motorcycle is a candidate.  If you have some trick shots of your Honda Rebel on Sunset cliffs at dusk then send them in.  I’d love to see them.  I even created a “Wanderlust” category for shots that are as much about scenery as they are about the bikes.  So, like I mention in the the blog description, any bike that strikes my fancy at the moment.  No Rules.

Thanks!

Reader Ride. Nice Superglide.

Steve G sent me these a while back and they got lost in the shuffle.  Sorry bout that.

I’m sure folks have noticed that I don’t post many modern American cruisers.  This is not from prejudice on my part.  I like them fine.  But there are so many sites already dedicated to them (that do it very well) so I tend to shy away.  Anyway, this one caught my eye because it’s got some really nice “go” touches without overdoing the “show”.  It looks to be a cruiser that you could ride the hell out of.    Function and form and all that …  Thanks again Steve.

Back 2 BasiXS. Fantastic Custom From Holland!

From Hans Prost:
Heyhey,
What a great site with great bikes, love it.
Sure like to see my Back 2 BasiXS between them.
Keep the beauties comin’!!!
Greetz, Hans Prost. Holland.

My pleasure Hans. Beautiful Build! The attention to detail is amazing.

Reader Rides. Some sweet old sleds.

Scott sends in some pics of his brothers sweet old iron..  In a perfect world with a bigger garage I’d definitely own a nice old American sideshift flathead with the obligatory “8-ball” shift knob. These are in just the right shape too.  Ansd looking in the background it seems like the kind of shop you could loose yourself in for a while.

Hey man – great blog!
These bikes were built by my Brother, George Trerrotola. Thought you might dig these pics. Feel free to post them if you like. Cheers!
