How to recreate any part you can think of. Brought to you by uber collector / restorer Mr. Jay Leno
I work in the CADD field (civil engineering) and this sort of thing gets me charged up. There is almost no part made of plastic or steel that could not be replicated with this technology. The “affordable” part of the process (the device he is discussing) is simply the the scanner. But that’s reall the key to it all. Once you have the digital file you can then proceed to the more expensive part. That being the CNC millwork. It’s still cool and will only get more affordable as time goes on. What a fantastic time to be restoring old bikes.. or anything for that matter. Check it out!
A Brand New Ducaty (ish) Supermono….
Vintage Superbike Racebikes Invade Daytona all the way from Japan!
THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 40 THOUSAND HITS AND ROLLING!
Another Milestone! I never thought this would get any real attention. I’m thrilled that folks are checking in and enjoying the blog! Thanks for checking in! I feel like Bud Ekins here pretending to be Steve McQueen pretending to be a POW in WWII escaping for the Nazi’s!….. er… or something like that.. LOL
Some more Norton action..
sorry about all the Nortons but I’ve recently been made aware of a local Commando that’s complete except for tank, seat and gauges for next to nothing so I’ve got Norton on the brain lately. Decisions decisions… I’m already so invested in 2-strokes and I’m too low on storage space to start in with old brit bikes…. hmmm…
