Things have been growing at a pretty good clip around here and I didn’t notice the count as we passed 200,000 visits. Wow! What a month!!  I got a great link from Pipeburn (GREAT site. Please please check them out) and had a nice predictable spike in traffic but an aweful lot of folks must have stuck around because there’s been a pretty steady gain in traffic since then.  A very sincere thank you to everyone for stopping by and welcome to all the new readers.  I hope you’re finding it as interesting as I find it fun!

Took a look at sitmeter and noticed that traffic has exploded the last few days. I know that I got a link form the always excellent Pipeburn on the CB550 post which must have accounted for most of it.

I don’t catch all the back-links so please consider this a Great Big Thanks to you gents and anyone and everyone else who has linked and/or stopped by. If you’re new to the site please take a look around. There are certain “tendencies” to the posts but I do think we’ve got something for everyone. Cheers!

I’ve said it before… I continue to be amazed how this little hobby of mine continues to grow! Things slowed down a little for the holidays (which speaks to the good sense and proper priorities of the visitors to this site) and then took another nice surge in January. I sure hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am.

And remember that I’m always on the hunt for interesting bikes to post so if you have any then send in some pics! Anything cool. Old or new, slow or fast… doesn’t matter. If you want to include a description or build history (or whatever) that’s great too! The higher resolution the photo the better. I can adjust down but I can’t put in what isn’t there.

After a bunch of helpful comments and doing a few more slight tweaks it looks like the page is working well.  I tried the page on every browser I could think of and it seems to format correctly on all the ones I tried.  I’ll leave it alone for now but if anyone has any problems please let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

I’ve tweaked the layout of the page so I can show the previewed photo’s at an “extra large” size.  I’ve tested it out on a few different monitors but it obviously can’t cover all circumstances.  If anyone has any comments or problems viewing the page I’d really appreciate any feedback.  Good or bad.   I’m going to leave this mesage pinned to the top for a little while.

One of the things I’m thankful for in this Holiday season is the absolute joy it brings me post to these blogs. It never ceases to amaze me how this little hobby is growing. I just wanted to say thanks to each and every one of you for stopping by and helping this site to grow the way it has. No one is more surprised (or grateful) than me!

I know that there are the occasional posts that aren’t exactly diamonds but I try to go with my mood on these things. When I check the statistics, some of the most frequented posts are bikes that I would have never expected. Real surprises! The Virago Cafe racer comes to mind. There must be a spike in used Virago sales because a heck of a lot of folks are checking that bike out.

Anyway here’s to ya and I hope you’re doing well and getting some riding in wherever in the world you are! And Thanks again for stopping by!
