Dude! I think he stole that off my Honda Civic!
That’s one heavy duty rear wheel!
Wow. The perfect answer to chicken strips. Not safe at all either.
There’s actually quite a few in the LD community that use car tires due to the longevity. I’ve not done it on any of mine but I see the reason for it. I do know many that have run them and they all say it’s a little different leaning in, but once you get used to it, it’s no big deal.
Best advice – if you don’t want to do this, DON’T! Some guys only put NMT 4K miles a yr, others do upwards of 100K, so I guess it all depends on your outlook.
PS the Goldwing guys have been using “run flats” for yrs with a car tire!
Whatever, I’m just thrilled to see a GSA finally make it to MPOTD!
Why not changing the front wheel either?
Fronts usually last 2X the rear, so that’s not the issue that rears are.
The funny thing is, it looks like the “Darkside” forum has a safety section! That’s gotta be good.

I totally missed the tire, I was looking at the 3 apartment sized refrigerators mounted to the rear! Stupid me.
The Rocket III guys like to do this to.
