I have never known why more motors are not designed this way? The natural ram effect in the front and the direct route for the exhaust seems to have many advantages. Maybe in the old days before good heat shielding but not lots of bikes run exhaust right out under the seat. Seems too obvious to be overlooked by every manufacturer.

Air filtration would be extremely difficult. How do you get a “real” foam or paper filter in there without uglifying the bike?
